A Celebration of All Things Literary

It's almost here, one of my favorite events of the year! I have been to almost all of them (might have missed one year when Daughter #3 had a race out of town). The first year was when Daughter #3 stood at the top of Janss steps and pronounced, "I am going to go to college here." Let's see, she must have been nine years old back then.

About three years ago I started going to one or two actual ticketed panels, as opposed to aimlessly wandering through obscure publishing house booths. Then last year I kicked it up a notch by going both days. Mainly that was so I could stand in line to have John Wooden sign some books as graduation presents for Daughter #3. Wow.

This year I'm amping it up to a new level. Ticketed panels all day long, both days! Maybe I won't spend as much money on books. Daughter #1 will appreciate the frugality of this event as the whole thing is free!

Wish I could be there. I saw them setting up yesterday...the nostalgia of being nine at that event gets me every time--the campus was so scary then! Now it is so magical!
